Wind rose charts are polar bar charts used in meteorology and environmental science to visualize the distribution of wind (or other directional) observations. Each spoke represents a compass direction, and the spoke length encodes the frequency or magnitude of observations from that direction. Speed-binned variants stack speed classes within each spoke, providing a complete picture of both directional frequency and typical intensity.
